Tama Vakeesan is a 29-year-old born in the Swiss town of Langenthal to a Tamil family originally from Sri Lanka. She takes viewers through life in Switzerland as someone with a foot in two cultures. Locals are sometimes surprised at how well she can speak Swiss German and relatives wonder why she hasn't yet found a husband, but she finds these experiences valuable.
"When you've grown up in a cultural mix like I have, you learn to be more open to other opinions and perspectives," she says.
